From September 1, 2024, a significant law will prohibit the removal of group I disabled individuals from public transport, ensuring their rights and dignity. This legislation, signed by President Vladimir Putin, aims to protect vulnerable passengers from being forcibly disembarked due to fare disputes. Violators, including drivers and officials, face substantial fines, reinforcing the commitment to inclusivity in public transport.
In conjunction with this, new regulations regarding traffic violation monitoring will also take effect. These include the installation of photo and video recording systems in designated areas to enhance road safety. The decision to place these cameras will be made by local authorities, ensuring that they are strategically located to address accident-prone zones.
Additionally, updated requirements for car first aid kits will come into play, mandating the inclusion of essential medical supplies such as masks, gloves, and tourniquets. Current kits will remain valid until their expiration date, encouraging drivers to maintain safety measures without immediate financial burden.
