Auriana Lazraq-Khlass, a heptathlon specialist, has successfully negotiated to wear a long-sleeved jacket instead of the originally mandated sleeveless top during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This decision was made by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) after initial refusals, allowing athletes to express their individuality through their outfits.
The opening ceremony, set to take place on July 26, 2024, along the Seine River, will feature a unique parade of 85 boats carrying athletes from 206 delegations. The event is anticipated to showcase Paris's iconic landmarks and involve thousands of performers, including potential appearances by global stars like Lady Gaga and Celine Dion.
