Olympic Torch Relay Continues Its Journey Through France
The Olympic Torch has been making its way through France since May 8, bringing excitement and pride to various regions. On Thursday, July 11, the torch will traverse the Yonne department in Burgundy Franche-Comté, starting from Avallon and passing through several towns including Vézelay, Sens, Saint-Fargeau, Migennes, and Chablis, before concluding its route at the Parc de Roscoff in Auxerre.

Following its journey through Chartres and Blois, the Olympic Flame will reach the Loiret department on Wednesday for its 53rd stage. The torch will be carried by 92 porters, starting from Le Malesherbois and making stops in Sully-en-Loire, Montargis, Neuville-aux-Bois, Gien, and Meung-sur-Loire, before culminating in a grand celebration in Orléans.
In Orléans, the flame will be welcomed with a lighting ceremony at Place Sainte-Croix, where various festivities will highlight the Olympic values. The procession through Orléans will include notable landmarks such as the George V bridge, the Joan of Arc statue, and the Orléans Museum for Biodiversity and the Environment.
