Kanye West Faces Multiple Allegations: Sexual Harassment, Fraud, and Abuse of Power
Kanye West, the acclaimed rapper now known as Ye, is once again under the legal spotlight, facing a multitude of allegations ranging from sexual harassment to breach of contract and creating a hostile work environment. These fresh claims surface amid a series of earlier lawsuits, adding more complexity to the rapper’s already embattled public image.
Lauren Pisciotta, who served as West’s personal assistant from July 2021 to October 2022, recently filed a 25-page lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Pisciotta accuses West of numerous inappropriate acts, including masturbating in front of her during supposed professional calls and sharing explicit sexual material. The lawsuit details how West allegedly forced her to delete her OnlyFans account in exchange for $1 million annually, which he never paid.
Pisciotta's claims are not isolated; they align with past allegations against West for similar misconduct. In November 2022, multiple former employees alleged that West distributed pornographic content during meetings and used threatening tactics. Seeking to redress the issue, West is reportedly planning to file a counterclaim, accusing Pisciotta of theft and coercion.
These events unfold a year after Cecilia Hailey and her daughter Chekarey Byers, both educators at West's Donda Academy, sued the institution for its unsanitary and unregulated conditions. Hailey and Byers, along with another former employee Isaiah Meadows, accused West of non-payment and discrimination, revealing troubling practices at the academy.
Furthermore, West's legal troubles don't stop there. In early 2024, the children of Donna Summer filed a lawsuit against him for allegedly using recognizable parts of her 1977 hit 'I Feel Love' without permission in his song 'Good (Don't Die)'. West is also entangled in a dispute with Adidas over the unauthorized release of Yeezy sneakers and alleged racist remarks, leading the brand to seek $250 million in damages.
