Before the first round of elections, he tweeted about the importance of voting and expressed his opinion that the RN is not a viable solution for France. 'It is an important day for France and for its future. These days, voting is as much a duty as it is a right. (…) The RN is not a solution. It’s not a lesson, it’s just my opinion,' he wrote.
His sentiments were echoed by fellow teammate Marcus Thuram, who also called on the French to 'fight on a daily basis so that the RN does not pass.' Koundé's vocal opposition to the RN highlights the broader trend of athletes using their influence to engage in political and social issues, emphasizing the role of voting as both a duty and a right.
