Israeli Forces Conduct Raids in West Bank Amid Rising Tensions
On Sunday evening, the Israeli occupation army conducted multiple raids across various areas in the occupied West Bank, resulting in clashes with Palestinian resistance groups. The confrontations led to the use of tear gas by Israeli forces, causing several Palestinian citizens to suffer from suffocation. Reports from the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, indicated that the village of Tabqa, located southwest of Hebron, was particularly affected after Jewish settlers entered the area, prompting the military response.
In addition to the incidents in Tabqa, the Israeli army also targeted the Al-Fawar refugee camp south of Hebron, where military vehicles were seen driving through the main street. In the northern West Bank, forces accompanied by bulldozers stormed the eastern parts of Nablus, providing security for settlers visiting the controversial Joseph's Tomb, a site revered by Jews but located in an area under Palestinian control. Activists shared videos on social media showing the military presence in Nablus, highlighting the ongoing tensions in the region.
The Israeli army's operations have reportedly expanded in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, coinciding with a broader conflict in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported a staggering total of 801 Palestinian deaths and approximately 6,450 injuries during this period, underscoring the escalating violence and humanitarian crisis in the region.
