Israeli Airstrikes Target Damascus Following Assad Regime's Fall

Images from the reference sources
Israeli airstrikes have intensified in Damascus and surrounding areas following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime, targeting military installations and weapon depots.

The Israeli airstrikes represent a significant escalation in military operations following the fall of the Assad regime, indicating a shift in regional power dynamics.

The targeting of specific military installations suggests a strategic approach by Israel to dismantle Syria's military capabilities comprehensively.

Continued Israeli airstrikes may lead to further destabilization in Syria, potentially prompting retaliatory actions from Syrian forces or allied groups.

The situation could escalate into broader regional conflicts if other nations intervene or if the Syrian military attempts to respond effectively to the attacks.

Explosions Rock Damascus Amid Israeli Airstrikes

Explosions and fires erupted in Damascus, Syria's capital, over the past two days due to a series of Israeli air raids aimed at dismantling military capabilities of the former Syrian regime. Reports indicate that these attacks are part of a broader Israeli strategy to neutralize potential threats following the recent fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.

Israeli security sources revealed that since the regime's collapse, over 250 targets have been struck within Syrian territory, marking one of the largest offensive operations conducted by the Israeli Air Force. These operations have reportedly targeted military bases, fighter jets, missile systems, and various weapon depots across the country.

On Monday, significant airstrikes were reported at major air bases, resulting in the destruction of infrastructure, including dozens of helicopters and fighter jets. Notably, an Israeli strike targeted the Syrian army's air defense battalion in the Maaloula area, as well as the Mezzeh military airport, which suffered extensive damage.

In addition to the capital, Israeli forces also bombed military sites in Daraa, specifically targeting the headquarters of the '132nd' Brigade and several weapons depots. Activists reported that more than 100 Israeli raids occurred on Monday alone, with the latest strike hitting the Scientific Research Center in Barzeh, Damascus.

These developments come in the wake of the Assad regime's sudden collapse, prompting Israel to intensify its military operations under the pretext of eliminating strategic weapons that could pose a future threat.
