Tragic Discovery in Haute-Savoie: Three Children Found Dead

In a heartbreaking incident in Taninges, Haute-Savoie, three children aged 2, 11, and 13 were found dead in their home on Tuesday. The discovery was made by their father, who immediately alerted the authorities. Emergency services confirmed the deaths shortly after their arrival around 12:30 p.m. The local prosecutor, Boris Duffau, stated that initial findings indicated the children had suffered stab wounds. An investigation for 'intentional homicide' has been launched, and autopsies are set to be conducted by the Grenoble Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Search for the Mother

The children's mother, aged 45, is currently being sought by the gendarmerie. Reports indicate that she was suffering from depression and left a letter at home before fleeing into the surrounding mountains. Significant search efforts are underway, involving around sixty police officers and a helicopter. The local community, which has a population of approximately 3,500, has been shaken by this tragedy, prompting the establishment of a psychological support unit by the town hall. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities conducting interviews with the family’s close acquaintances to gather more information.
