IDF Forces Face Heavy Losses in Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have experienced significant casualties in recent operations in the Gaza Strip. Captain Rui Miller, a 21-year-old platoon commander in the Rotem Battalion of the Givati Brigade, was killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. In the same incident, another officer and a soldier were seriously injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Rui's mother, Ariela, expressed her profound grief and pride in her son, highlighting his commitment to his soldiers and his faith.

Ariela Miller shared, 'Dear and beloved people, I inform you with sadness that my beloved and dear son Rui gave his soul to the Creator of the world. Rui Shelley the hero chose a command route, Rui commanded as a commander in the Tomer Company in the Rotem Givati Regiment, the soldiers of the company are from religious houses, they entered Gaza singing the song 'I believe'.' She emphasized the unity and spiritual strength of the nation, stating, 'We are not a conquering nation, we are returning home. We must learn from the pure soldiers what unity, shared destiny, and strong faith in the Creator of the world is.'

Tribute to Fallen Soldiers

In another tragic incident, Captain Elie Elisha Logsi, a team commander in the 75th Battalion of the 'Saar Megolan' Brigade, also fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Logsi was the only son of Samdar, an aide employed at the municipality of Kiryat Shmona. Three fighters from the 75th Battalion were seriously injured in the same incident and were evacuated for medical treatment. The city of Kiryat Shmona paid tribute to Logsi, describing him as 'a brave warrior and an amazing man, the salt of the earth.'

Logsi's mother, Samdar, faced immense sorrow, having fought hard to bring him into the world as her only son. Despite being wounded at the beginning of the war, Logsi insisted on returning to fight after his recovery. Friends and community members expressed their deep shock and grief, with one friend, Gaia Bozaglu, writing, 'Refuse to believe. My dear friend, we will be worthy of you, may you rest in peace.'

  • Ariela Miller's words reflect the deep sense of duty and faith that characterized her son Rui's life and service. She spoke of the spiritual journey the nation is on, comparing it to the biblical exodus from Egypt, and emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support among the people of Israel.
