IDF Operations in Southern Lebanon: A Unified Front Against Terrorism

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are intensifying their operations in southern Lebanon, with significant contributions from both the 36th and 98th Divisions. Recent reports indicate that these divisions have collectively eliminated approximately 350 terrorists and destroyed over 500 enemy infrastructures, including extensive underground tunnels and ammunition depots. The operations involve multiple brigades, including the Golani, Etzioni, and 188th Brigades, which are conducting coordinated assaults against Hezbollah positions in the region.

The 36th Division, in particular, has made headlines for its aggressive tactics, successfully targeting key military assets of Hezbollah. Among the notable achievements, the division has reported the destruction of various anti-tank missile systems, including the Cornet and Tau types, which were found in operational readiness near Israeli settlements. Furthermore, the Golani Brigade has reportedly eliminated high-ranking Hezbollah commanders, significantly disrupting the group's operational capabilities.

Simultaneously, the 98th Division has concluded the first phase of its operations, claiming the elimination of around 200 terrorists who were poised to launch attacks or reinforce their positions. This division has also focused on destroying enemy tunnels and ammunition caches, employing substantial explosive measures to neutralize threats effectively. Despite the ongoing conflict, the IDF asserts that the operational tempo remains high, driven by strategic decisions to enhance mission effectiveness against Hezbollah's entrenched positions.

Despite the challenges posed by continuous rocket fire from Lebanon, the IDF has reported a decrease in the frequency of these attacks in areas where they are actively engaged. Commanders on the ground have noted the confusion among Hezbollah forces due to the loss of numerous field commanders, which complicates their ability to coordinate attacks against IDF troops. The IDF continues to prioritize the safety of its soldiers while maintaining a robust defense against rocket threats directed at Israeli settlements.
