Hezbollah Claims Victory Over Israeli Forces Amid Deadly Clashes
In a significant escalation of hostilities along the Lebanon-Israel border, Hezbollah has reported the destruction of three Israeli Merkava tanks using guided missiles. This attack coincided with the Israeli army's admission of the deaths of eight soldiers, including three officers, during attempts to infiltrate Lebanese territory. The clashes erupted near the town of Maroun al-Ras, where Hezbollah fighters engaged in fierce combat with Israeli forces, utilizing rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns.
Hezbollah's statement detailed a series of successful strikes against Israeli military positions, including the detonation of explosives that targeted an Israeli infantry unit. The group claimed to have inflicted casualties on Israeli soldiers through coordinated missile attacks and ambushes, particularly between the settlements of Misgav Am and Kfar Giladi. Reports from Israeli media confirmed the deaths of two captains and numerous injuries among their troops, with 39 soldiers transported to medical facilities for treatment.
In retaliation, the Israeli army reported the launch of 102 rockets from Lebanon towards northern Israel, with some intercepted by their defense systems. Rising Casualties and Humanitarian Crisis

Since September 23, Israeli military operations have reportedly resulted in over 1,073 fatalities in Lebanon, including women and children. The Lebanese Ministry of Health has documented nearly 1,873 deaths and over 9,134 injuries since the onset of intensified exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and Israeli forces.
Additionally, the Israeli airstrikes have resulted in civilian casualties, with a recent bombardment in Aitaroun killing seven individuals, including paramedics. The attacks have displaced more than a million people, further straining the already fragile humanitarian situation.
