Despite losing her home and clinic to airstrikes, she has transformed her courtyard into a makeshift hospital, providing much-needed care to vulnerable populations, including mothers and children. Educational Initiatives Help Children Cope with Trauma
In addition to health services, educational initiatives have sprung up to address the significant disruption to schooling caused by the war. With over 750 educators lost and numerous schools destroyed, teachers like Dr. Fidaa Al-Zainati have established tent schools to ensure that children continue their education. Al-Zainati’s
Al-Hashemite School,
serves 360 students in two shifts, focusing on both academic learning and psychological relief. This dual approach aims to combat the trauma experienced by children due to the ongoing conflict, helping them regain a sense of normalcy.
