Rising Casualties in Gaza Amid Ongoing Conflict

The Gaza Strip continues to face severe humanitarian crises as the conflict escalates. Recent reports indicate that more than 15 martyrs were killed when Israeli forces stormed Khalil Awida School in Beit Hanoun early this morning. Eyewitness accounts describe a chaotic scene where occupation forces besieged the school, arresting young men and forcing women and children to flee the premises. This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence, with Palestinian media reporting that at least 19 Palestinians have died due to Israeli raids across various regions in Gaza since the previous night.

In addition to the school incident, an Israeli drone strike in Khirbet al-Adas, located north of Rafah city, claimed another life. The situation remains dire as Israeli artillery shells and tank fire targeted the Al-Mawasi area, which is currently sheltering displaced individuals. Furthermore, Israeli naval forces have been reported to target fishing boats in the waters near Al-Shati refugee camp, exacerbating the already critical conditions for local fishermen.

In response to these incursions, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, announced that they successfully sniped an Israeli soldier during operations in the Jabalia area. The Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces also claimed responsibility for mortar attacks on Israeli forces stationed in the Al-Janina neighborhood of Rafah. The Israeli military has acknowledged that their operations in Jabalia over the past 70 days have resulted in the deaths of 35 Israeli soldiers, highlighting the heavy toll on both sides of the conflict.
