Reports indicate that confrontations are occurring at close range in Jabalia, where resistance fighters have inflicted significant losses on the invading troops. The Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for killing an Israeli soldier at point-blank range and successfully targeting a Merkava IV tank with an explosive device.
