The upcoming film “The Papal Conclave” directed by Edward Berger is set to captivate audiences with its intense portrayal of the secretive world of cardinals. Adapted from Robert Harris's novel “The Pontifical Council,” this film dives deep into the complexities of selecting a new Pope amidst a backdrop of conspiracy and intrigue.
The film, featuring a stellar cast including Ralph Fiennes as Cardinal Lawrence, Stanley Tucci as Cardinal Bellini, and John Lithgow as Cardinal Tremblay, will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival from September 5 to 15, 2023, before hitting limited theaters on November 1 and wide release on November 8.
