Five heavy attacks were launched by the Israeli air force against Hezbollah weapons depots in Lebanon, 80 kilometers from the border with Israel.
Hezbollah claimed attacks against northern Israel on Monday and announced the death of two of its fighters in an Israeli strike on southern Lebanon, amid fears of an escalation of violence.
The Israeli army said its aircraft had struck 'Hezbollah terrorists' in Houla, in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah also claimed to have repulsed using 'missiles and artillery' a group of Israeli soldiers who had 'infiltrated' into Lebanese territory near the border.
