Two Palestinians Killed in Nour Shams Camp Shelling
In a tragic incident, two Palestinians lost their lives due to Israeli occupation forces' shelling in the Nour Shams camp located in Tulkarm, north of the West Bank. The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the fatalities, stating that the occupation forces are currently detaining the bodies of the deceased. Concurrently, clashes erupted in several towns including Yatta, Beita, and Qalqilya, as Israeli forces conducted military operations across the region. Reports indicate that a Palestinian was also seriously injured by gunfire in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Israeli media has reported that the military operations are aimed at targeting militants in Tulkarm, leading to an escalation of violence in the area. The situation was further aggravated as Israeli forces stormed the Nour Shams camp with military vehicles and bulldozers, demolishing parts of the camp and detonating explosive devices along the main road.
Armed Clashes Erupt Across West Bank
In addition to the violence in Tulkarm, armed clashes broke out in the Far'a camp, south of Tubas, where Palestinian resistance fighters engaged with Israeli forces. During the confrontation, resistance fighters detonated an explosive device targeting occupation vehicles. The Israeli forces responded by raiding homes and deploying snipers on rooftops, intensifying the conflict.
This surge in violence coincides with reports from Israeli Army Radio regarding plans to confiscate land in Jerusalem for the construction of new settlement units, further heightening tensions in an already volatile region. The UNRWA headquarters in Maalot Dafna is reportedly among the sites targeted for land confiscation, with plans underway to build thousands of housing units.
The ongoing conflict highlights the dire situation in the West Bank, where clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces continue to escalate, resulting in casualties and widespread unrest.
