The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack in connection with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the city of Belgorod and the Belgorod region, the agency's press service announced on the morning of August 31.
As a result of the actions of Ukrainian troops, five civilians were killed, at least 46 people were injured, including seven minors. Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Earlier, the head of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that on August 30, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the region with cluster munitions from the Vampire MLRS.
In addition, at least six people, including a teenager, were killed Friday in Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second city in the northeast, local authorities said.
