Parents Launch Urgent Appeal for Missing Teen Narjesse Ghezal
Three months have passed since the mysterious disappearance of 17-year-old Narjesse Ghezal from Villeurbanne, France, and her parents are intensifying their search efforts. On June 29, Narjesse left her home without any belongings, including her phone, money, or identification. Her mother, Sofia Ghezal, believes her daughter did not leave voluntarily, especially as she was preparing for her baccalaureate oral exam at that time. The family describes Narjesse as a dedicated student with aspirations of studying medicine to become a midwife. The lack of communication from her, both through social media and with friends, has left her parents distraught and fearful that she may be in danger.
The investigation, initially handled by local authorities in Villeurbanne, has now been transferred to the Meyzieu police. Despite extensive searches and appeals for information, leads have dwindled. Local volunteers have been active in distributing posters across Lyon and speaking to individuals in the area, including the homeless and those involved in the sex trade, but Narjesse remains unaccounted for.
Sofia Ghezal expressed the family's anguish, stating, "It's a nightmare, a daily nightmare. Our lives have been turned upside down. We are trying everything to find her." Narjesse is described as slim, approximately 1.61 meters tall, with long black hair and brown eyes. Her last known outfit consisted of blue pajamas, a black sweatshirt, and black Adidas sneakers, further indicating that her departure was unplanned. The family has urged anyone with information to contact the Meyzieu police station, emphasizing their hope to bring Narjesse home safely.
