The late French film actor Alain Delon requested that his beloved dog be killed and buried with him, but his children rejected the request following a protest by animal rights activists.
The actor, who died at the age of 88 on Sunday, previously expressed his desire that his dog, Lubo, a 10-year-old Belgian shepherd (Malinois), be euthanized and buried next to him in the cemetery at his home in the village of Duchy in the Loiret region of France.
