Overcoming Adversity: Tatyana Shiryaeva's Journey to Success
Seven years ago, Tatyana Shiryaeva, a seamstress from the Voronezh Region, faced a daunting future as a single mother. Pregnant and with a ten-year-old daughter, she found herself abandoned by her partner and without a stable income or home. Despite her fears and the prospect of raising two children alone, Tatyana's determination led her to transform her life from despair to entrepreneurship.
A Life-Changing Decision
Tatyana's journey began after her divorce in 2015. Following a relationship that resulted in an unexpected pregnancy, she was left to contemplate her future alone. Faced with financial insecurity and the fear of not being able to provide for her children, Tatyana considered abortion. However, a conversation with her godmother and a priest changed her perspective. The priest's words about the potential dangers of abortion resonated with her, prompting Tatyana to continue her pregnancy despite her health challenges, including a diagnosis of arterial hypertension.
Building a New Life
In October 2017, Tatyana moved to the Pokrov shelter, which supports individuals in difficult situations. During her time there, she not only prepared for motherhood but also continued to pursue her passion for sewing by teaching others. After giving birth to a healthy son in February 2018, Tatyana utilized her maternity capital to secure a room for her family. Eventually, she took a leap of faith by purchasing the sewing studio where she had previously worked, becoming a business owner and employing two staff members. Tatyana's story is a testament to resilience and the power of community support, illustrating how she turned her challenges into opportunities for growth.
