The recent massacre at the Al-Tabaeen School in Gaza City has sparked outrage and controversy regarding the Israeli army's claims about the identities of the victims. Palestinian sources have reported that the list of those targeted during the attack contains misleading information, with several individuals named having been killed prior to the incident. Among them was Youssef Al-Wadiya, whose death occurred two days before the attack, and Montaser Daher, who was also reported to have been killed elsewhere. Furthermore, the list included Muhammad Al-Tayef, a former school principal with no military ties, as well as various civilians and academics.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has vehemently denied the Israeli army's assertions that those killed were affiliated with Hamas or Islamic Jihad. They argue that the majority of the over 100 civilians who lost their lives during the attack were innocent individuals, including children and clerics, who were simply attending dawn prayers. Hamas emphasized that the narrative put forth by the Israeli army is false and serves only to justify what they describe as a heinous crime against civilians in Gaza.
