A 16-year-old boy is currently on the run after allegedly stabbing his mother and 2-year-old brother in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, Yvelines. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, October 2, in their family apartment, where the mother, aged 45, suffered a superficial wound to the face, while the toddler sustained injuries to his side and shoulder blade. Both victims were taken to André-Mignot Hospital in Versailles and are reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.

The teenager, who has a history of psychotic disorders, including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, is believed to have been experiencing a seizure during the attack. Witnesses reported that the mother fled to a neighbor's apartment covered in blood, while the child was found crying in the stairwell. The police were alerted by neighbors around 10 a.m. on Thursday, and the search for the suspect continues as he remains at large.

The investigation is being handled by the territorial criminal directorate of Yvelines, which is working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the attack. The knife used in the stabbings was not found at the scene, raising concerns about the suspect's whereabouts and state of mind.
