The conflict in the northern Gaza Strip has intensified since October 5, 2023, with the Palestinian resistance, particularly the Qassam Brigades, engaging in a series of confrontations against Israeli occupation forces. Among the notable incidents was the successful assassination of Colonel Ihsan Daqsa, the commander of the Israeli 401st Armored Brigade. The Qassam Brigades targeted various military assets, including 42 Merkava tanks, 25 personnel carriers, and other military equipment, employing advanced weaponry such as
explosive devices and tandem shells. Additionally, they managed to seize an Israeli drone conducting intelligence operations in Jabalia, showcasing their operational capabilities despite the ongoing Israeli siege and bombardment.
