The American horror film "Smile 2" has garnered impressive global revenues of $109.7 million since its release, according to reports. In a unique promotional strategy, Paramount Pictures has made the first seven minutes of the film available for free viewing, but with a twist: viewers must keep smiling throughout the duration of the clip. This interactive experience was launched via a dedicated website, coinciding with the Halloween season, and features a mechanism that halts the video if the viewer stops smiling.
"Smile 2" continues the story of pop star Sky Riley as she navigates the pressures of fame and haunting memories during her world tour. The film features a talented cast, including Naomi Scott, Kyle Gallner, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lucas Gage, and Dylan Gelula. The original "Smile" film, released in 2022, also saw significant success, grossing $105 million domestically and $217 million worldwide, prompting its theatrical release after initially being intended for online viewing.
