On Wednesday, Turkey formally requested to join the genocide lawsuit against Israel, filed by South Africa at the International Court of Justice. Yuksel stated that Turkey hopes the court will compel Israel to adhere to its decisions. The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that the request is grounded in international law, specifically the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide.
