Two people have died and over 40 others were injured in a tragic bus accident involving a Spanish coach in the French Pyrenees. The incident occurred on December 1, 2024, in Porté-Puymorens, where the bus, carrying primarily Colombian citizens living in Spain, collided with a stone wall and overturned. Among the injured, 32 are Colombians aged between two and 67, with ten reported to be in serious condition. The passengers were returning from a shopping trip in Andorra when the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident that closed the French national highway 320.
In a separate incident in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, a truck driver caused chaos on the highways, resulting in 19 injuries, including one critically. The 30-year-old Polish driver reportedly drove erratically, hitting 50 vehicles. Investigations revealed potential alcohol and drug use, and the driver has been admitted to a psychiatric facility. The police are still awaiting blood test results to confirm the driver's state at the time of the accidents.
