In a bid to bolster their squad amidst the closing transfer window, Russian football club Spartak Moscow is actively pursuing new signings, focusing on strengthening their defensive lineup and searching for a quality winger. The club has already secured six new players but aims to enhance their roster further.
Spartak is reportedly interested in Vitoria Guimarães left-back Ricardo Mangas, with negotiations ongoing regarding his transfer. Valued at €4 million, Mangas is seen as a potential upgrade over the current left-backs at Spartak, despite questions about his previous performances in Portugal and France. The club's sporting director Tomas Amaral is advocating for his acquisition.
Additionally, Spartak is eyeing Turkish winger Cengiz Under, having reached out to Fenerbahce with an offer of €8 million, although this falls short of the club’s asking price of €10 million. Under’s recent performance in the Super League has made him a valuable target for Spartak, despite injuries hampering his previous seasons.
In contrast, other clubs in the Russian Premier League are offloading players, with Zenit’s Robert Renan transferring to Al-Shabab and Lokomotiv Moscow’s Mario Mitai loaned to Al-Ittihad. Lokomotiv is looking to replace Mitai with Montassar Talbi and is also keen on re-signing Edgar Sevikyan, who has made a notable impact in European football.
