Ongoing Search for Missing Teenager Morgane
The search for 13-year-old Morgane, who disappeared on November 25 in Pabu, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, continues as her mother makes a heartfelt appeal for witnesses. In a Facebook post on December 6, Aurore Rivoal urged anyone who may have seen her daughter that morning to come forward with any details that could assist in locating her. "Don't keep this detail to yourself, it could be very important for us to find our beloved daughter," she implored, sharing a photo of Morgane alongside her message.
Morgane left her home at approximately 7:14 a.m. on the day of her disappearance but never arrived at school, prompting her family to notify authorities. Since then, a significant search effort has been mobilized, involving dozens of police officers in Pabu and Guingamp. Prosecutor Nicolas Heitz confirmed that all leads are being explored, but none have been prioritized at this stage.
Disturbing Signs and Ongoing Investigations
The circumstances surrounding Morgane's disappearance have raised concerns among her family and friends. Described as a happy and joyful child, Morgane had reportedly made "worrying remarks" prior to her disappearance. A crumpled note found in her trash can read, "mom, dad, sorry, I'm leaving," which has led investigators to consider the possibility of distress. Friends have mentioned that she may have been a victim of harassment and had engaged in self-harm, raising further alarm about her mental well-being.
Additionally, Morgane had been involved in social media interactions with older individuals, prompting police to interview these contacts and search their homes, although no significant leads have emerged from these inquiries. The investigation has also revealed that Morgane left home without any money, food, or a change of clothes, indicating a planned departure.
As the community rallies to support the search for Morgane, her family remains hopeful for her safe return. The Saint-Brieuc prosecutor has opened a judicial investigation to delve deeper into the circumstances of her disappearance, emphasizing the urgency of finding the young girl.
