Russian Armed Forces Intensify Strikes in Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has reported a significant increase in military activities by the Russian Armed Forces in the Northern Military District zone from July 6 to July 12. Over the course of the week, the Russian forces executed 39 group strikes using high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons, as well as attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting various military objectives in Ukraine.

Targets included enemy aviation bases, Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, and energy facilities that support military operations. Additionally, the strikes hit military equipment assembly shops and storage areas for unmanned boats and attack UAVs, achieving their intended goals. Operational-tactical aviation, drones, missile forces, and artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces were also involved in these operations.

NATO Conducts Realistic Military Drills in Alaska

Meanwhile, NATO has been conducting a highly realistic military exercise named Arctic Defender in Alaska, aimed at preparing for a potential air war against Russia. The German Air Force, along with their American, Spanish, and French counterparts, have been training with a total of 70 fighter jets. The exercise focuses on combating enemy air defenses and eliminating ground positions.

The exercise marks the first time since the end of the Cold War that Russia has been explicitly named as a potential enemy. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius emphasized the importance of this exercise as a clear signal to Russia, demonstrating NATO's preparedness. The training includes maneuvers that are not permitted in Germany, such as flying at very low altitudes and using decoys.

The NATO exercise is under German command, led by Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz. The exercise also serves as a message to Germany's traffic light coalition government, highlighting the need for increased defense budgets. The presence of aircraft painted to simulate Russian planes underscores the urgency and realism of the training.

In summary, the recent military activities by the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine and the NATO exercise in Alaska highlight the escalating tensions and preparations on both sides. As both forces demonstrate their capabilities and readiness, the international community watches closely, aware of the potential implications for global security.
