Russian Forces Report Significant Gains Against Ukrainian Military in Kharkiv Region

In a recent report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, units from the North group of forces have achieved notable victories against Ukrainian military formations in the Kharkiv region, specifically in Liptsy and Volchansk. The report, published on September 19, details the defeat of the 57th motorized infantry brigade, the 5th border detachment, the Foreign Legion, and the 113th territorial defense brigade. These operations resulted in the loss of over 195 Ukrainian servicemen, an armored personnel carrier, three vehicles, and a 122-mm self-propelled artillery unit.

Meanwhile, the West group of forces also reported successful tactical maneuvers, inflicting heavy losses on multiple Ukrainian brigades, including the 14th, 44th, and 63rd mechanized brigades. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly lost up to 420 servicemen, along with significant military equipment, including various howitzers and electronic warfare stations.

The South group of forces marked a significant achievement by liberating the settlement of Georgievka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This victory came at a cost to the Ukrainian military, which suffered losses of up to 690 servicemen and various armored vehicles and artillery systems.

Additionally, the Center group of forces reported successful engagements against the 68th Infantry and 71st Jaeger brigades, resulting in over 510 Ukrainian servicemen casualties and the destruction of several artillery pieces. The East group also made progress, defeating forces in the areas of Dobrovolye and Zolotaya Niva, with reported losses including a French-made 155-mm Caesar self-propelled howitzer.

Russian military operations have been further supported by air and missile strikes targeting key Ukrainian military infrastructure, leading to the destruction of several critical facilities and the downing of 41 UAVs. This series of engagements highlights the ongoing intensity of the conflict as both sides continue to vie for strategic advantages in the region.
