Raphaël Arnault's Bold Stand Against Rising Racism in the UK: A Call for Unity

Raphaël Arnault, the newly elected French MP, stands firm against rising racism in the UK, as violence escalates following tragic events in Southport. Join the movement for unity and anti-fascism.

His “anti-fascism” transcends borders. In the spotlight since his legislative campaign under the rebellious colors, Raphaël Arnault, elected deputy on July 7, intends to maintain the media spotlight. While the United Kingdom has been facing a wave of violence for a week, after the partly denied broadcast on the profile of the alleged perpetrator of a knife attack which led to the death of three little girls in Southport, several anti-riots took place Wednesday evening in several British cities. Particularly in London, where the parliamentarian from Vaucluse went.

Co-founder of the “Young Guard”, a movement taking on punchy actions against the extreme right, Raphaël Arnault, S file, simply intends to “support local anti-fascist comrades in the face of riots and targeted racist attacks.” On the social network X, the young man posted a photo of himself in a khaki jacket with the following warning: “Young Guard mode activated. Nazis off our streets. Way, according to him, to prevent “one of the worst days recorded since the start of the racist riots.” Moments later, he shared an image of a march he appears to be taking part in in the English capital. “Already hundreds and hundreds of people in front of an immigration office where the fascist attack had been planned,” he rejoiced. And to ignite: “The resistance is on the march.”

The ultra-left activist, parachuted into a land where the nationalist right is historically strong, certainly managed to beat the outgoing member of the National Rally, his election had aroused the emotion of part of the political class. Deputies from the presidential camp and the right must indeed sit in the Assembly alongside a person registered in the police register listing individuals potentially dangerous to national security.

The newly elected French MP Raphaël Arnault, an outspoken anti-fascist whose candidacy had sparked controversy during the legislative elections, announced on Wednesday that he was in London to support “anti-fascist comrades in the face of riots and targeted racist attacks.” On the social network Young Guard mode activated. Nazis off our streets.” And a little later, he posted a photo of a gathering, in an unidentified location, welcoming that there were "already hundreds and hundreds of people in front of an immigration office where the attack had been planned fascists.” Before adding: “Not sure if they are showing up, the resistance is on the move!”

Fears of new violence have gripped the United Kingdom, which has been confronting scenes of racist violence for over a week. This unrest was triggered by misinformation regarding the profile of a knife attack perpetrator in Southport, where three young girls tragically lost their lives. On Wednesday, authorities expressed concerns about potential new outbreaks of violence incited by far-right groups, despite a significant police presence aimed at maintaining order.

The British police are on high alert due to the risk of escalation of violence promoted by ultranationalist extremists for more than a week in England and Northern Ireland. Far-right platforms have called for demonstrations for this Wednesday night in at least 30 locations throughout England, mainly in front of care centers for migrants, support units, and law firms that provide services to asylum seekers and refugees. The authorities have mobilized nearly 6,000 law enforcement officers, in addition to some 2,000 riot police who are prepared to intervene in potential altercations such as those that have taken place since Tuesday of last week, after the multiple stabbings the previous day in the town of Southport (northwest England), in which three girls between six and nine years old died.

Labor Prime Minister Keir Starmer maintains that the communities affected tonight will be “safe,” having coordinated the response with police and intelligence authorities late on Tuesday in a new COBRA emergency cabinet. The meeting – the second in two days – shows Downing Street's concern about the prolongation of a wave of riots that has already left more than 420 arrested and more than a hundred charged. The Government has announced that it will file charges against the majority of those involved before the end of this week, so the courts have enabled additional sessions to speed up the process.
