Qatar has launched the 'Land of Legends' tourism project, a $3 billion initiative expected to transform the region's tourism sector and attract two million visitors annually by 2028.

The Land of Legends project represents Qatar's commitment to expanding its tourism sector, which is crucial for economic diversification away from oil dependency.

The collaboration between public and private sectors in this project highlights a growing trend in Qatar's development strategy, aiming to attract foreign investment and boost local economic growth.

With the completion of the Land of Legends project in 2028, Qatar is likely to see a significant increase in international tourism, contributing to its long-term economic goals.

The success of this project may inspire similar developments in other regions of Qatar, further enhancing the country's tourism infrastructure.

Qatar has officially launched the 'Land of Legends' tourism project, a $3 billion investment aimed at transforming the tourism and entertainment landscape in the region. The foundation stone was laid by Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Simaisma, marking a significant step towards enhancing Qatar's tourism sector.

The project is a collaboration between FTG Development and Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, covering an area of 650,000 square meters. It is expected to attract two million visitors annually and is aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on diversifying the economy.

Construction is set to be completed by 2028, with the project expected to create new investment opportunities and strengthen public-private partnerships, thereby driving economic development in the region.

The 'Sustainable Simaisma' project, which encompasses the Land of Legends, will extend over 8 million square meters along a 7-kilometer waterfront, further enhancing Qatar's appeal as a leading tourist destination.
