Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasizes urgent housing needs for the 155th Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, revealing plans for new apartments and infrastructure developments that support military families and enhance regional growth.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized the importance of providing adequate housing for the servicemen of the 155th Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, currently engaged in a special military operation. During his visit to the Primorskaya flotilla base in Ulysses Bay, Putin acknowledged the exemplary performance of the marines in combat missions. He highlighted the necessity of addressing everyday concerns such as housing and employment for the families of these servicemen.

Putin revealed that plans are in place to deliver 190 apartments in a new housing project located in the Snegova Pad microdistrict of Vladivostok, with additional multi-story buildings under construction aimed at accommodating more personnel. By the completion of the project, a total of five buildings with 1,100 apartments will be available for the marines.

Furthering the initiative, the Governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako, announced the construction of a school for 1,100 students and a sports and fitness complex, while also discussing the potential transfer of land from the Ministry of Defense to aid in developing social infrastructure for military families.

Additionally, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov expressed support for prioritizing housing for military families with children who have disabilities. He reinforced the urgency of completing housing projects on time to ensure that returning military personnel have the necessary living conditions upon their return from the front lines.

  • The housing initiative for the 155th Brigade is part of a broader effort by the Russian government to enhance the living conditions of military personnel and their families. The ongoing construction projects are expected to significantly improve the quality of life for servicemen and their dependents, while also contributing to local economic development.
  • The establishment of new educational and recreational facilities in Primorsky Krai underscores the government's commitment to supporting military families. These developments are not only beneficial for the servicemen but also for the local community, fostering a sense of stability and growth in the region.
  • The proposed shipyard project in Promezhutochnaya Bay is another strategic initiative aimed at boosting the local economy and creating job opportunities, further solidifying the relationship between military infrastructure and regional development.
