Prince Harry Addresses Rumors of Crisis with Meghan Markle
During the DealBook Summit 2024, held on December 4 in New York, Prince Harry took the opportunity to address ongoing rumors regarding his relationship with Meghan Markle. The event, organized by The New York Times, aimed to discuss mainstream media and misinformation, topics that resonate with Harry's own experiences as a public figure. In a light-hearted exchange with journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin, Harry humorously dismissed speculation about a potential marital crisis, stating, "Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house 10 or 12 times. Apparently, we’ve been divorced about 10 or 12 times, too. So it’s like, what?" He expressed sympathy for those who propagate such rumors, referring to them as "trolls" whose hopes are often dashed.
Harry's comments came in response to questions about their separate appearances at events, with Meghan attending the Paley Honors Fall Gala in Los Angeles while he was in New York. The Duke of Sussex emphasized that the intense media scrutiny surrounding their individual engagements is not beneficial, stating, "No, that's definitely not a good thing." He further noted that he aims to be the best husband and father to their two children, Archie and Lilibet, and enjoys raising them in the United States, where he feels they have more opportunities for activities than in the UK.
