Teacher Breaks Silence After Assault Video Goes Viral
In a shocking incident that has garnered widespread attention, a teacher at the Frères-Voisins nursery school in Paris has spoken out following her release from police custody. The incident, which was captured on video and shared across social media platforms, shows the teacher violently hitting a three-year-old girl during a classroom session. The footage, recorded on September 4, depicts the child in tears, being struck by the teacher and subsequently placed in a corner while continuing to cry for her mother. In a troubling twist, the teacher also sprayed an unidentified liquid on the child’s head, stating, "There, that feels good, there."
The video prompted immediate action, with the child's parents filing a complaint the following day. The Paris prosecutor's office initiated a preliminary investigation for "violence against a minor under 15 without incapacity," leading to the teacher's brief detention. "After days of ordeal, I feel relieved to have finally been able to give my version of events to investigators," the teacher told France 2 news, expressing regret for her actions.
Legal Proceedings and Emotional Impact on the Child
The case has escalated further with another complaint lodged against the teacher, relating to an alleged incident from 2012. The teacher's lawyer, Laurent Hazan, contends that this accusation is unfounded, asserting that a prior internal investigation concluded the student had lied about the incident. He emphasized that no formal complaint was made at that time.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the emotional toll on the child is evident. Reports indicate that the little girl has not returned to school and has been prescribed a two-month break by a psychiatrist. In the wake of the incident, the teacher has been suspended and replaced at the school, highlighting the serious implications of her actions and the ongoing concern for the well-being of her students.
