Netanyahu's Stance on the Iranian Threat
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated the necessity of the ongoing conflict against what he terms the 'Iranian axis of evil.' During a recent discussion with his Dutch counterpart, Netanyahu emphasized that this war is crucial for the future security of the West. He further criticized the International Criminal Court's proceedings against Israel, labeling them as a 'political process based on fabrications.'
Continued Military Operations Against Hezbollah
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has confirmed that military operations targeting Hezbollah will persist until stability is restored in northern Israel. During a visit to Safed, Galant described the current phase of the conflict as 'difficult,' asserting that the Israeli army is intensifying its efforts against Hezbollah to ensure the safety of its northern borders.
Rising Casualties Amid Intensified Conflict
The conflict has escalated significantly, with Israel conducting some of its most intense air raids in the past year. Reports indicate that over 700 individuals have been killed in Lebanon, including women and children, and approximately 2,600 others have been injured. The violence has also led to the displacement of tens of thousands of residents. In response, Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami has claimed that Hezbollah will ultimately prevail, dismissing the collective efforts of Western nations as futile.
