Argentina thought it had tied its first Olympic soccer match against Morocco in the final seconds, before its goal was dramatically disallowed and a pitch invasion caused the final three minutes to be played in an empty stadium afterward.
It was not an auspicious start to the Paris Olympics, with Argentine coach Javier Mascherano calling the messy scenes "the biggest circus I have ever seen in my life".
