Legendary former boxer Mike Tyson has confirmed his complete recovery from a medical emergency he experienced on a flight over the weekend. This incident occurred less than two months before his much-anticipated return to the ring at the age of 58. Tyson, slated to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on July 20, encountered health complications during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
Tyson's health issue, identified as an ulcer flare-up, caused him to feel nauseous and dizzy about 30 minutes before the plane landed. In Touch Weekly reported that flight attendants made an urgent announcement seeking a doctor on board. The paramedics boarded the plane upon landing to provide the necessary medical assistance.
The former heavyweight champion's representatives later issued a statement explaining the incident. They noted, 'Mike became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up, but he is grateful to the medical staff who assisted him.' Passengers were asked to remain on the plane until doctors had finished treating Tyson.
Tyson reassured his fans via Twitter, stating, 'Now, I feel 100% although I don't need to be to beat Jake Paul.' This message not only calmed his followers but also emphasized his determination to win the upcoming fight despite the recent health scare.
