McLaren Duo Battle it Out in Austria
The McLaren team saw an intense internal battle between its drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, throughout the sprint race. The race began with a strong start from Verstappen and a weaker start from Norris, allowing Piastri to join the fray. The two McLaren drivers continuously fought for position, but ultimately, Verstappen's lead was unchallenged.
Verstappen commented on his performance, stating, "It was a good first lap. With the DRS open, it is very difficult to keep up with those behind, but once we got out of the range, I was able to do my race. There are some things we can improve; tomorrow is going to be a tougher race, and we will have to manage the tires well. It's always good to be in Austria."
The weekend's action will continue with the final race scheduled for Sunday. Fans can catch all the live action on the Fox Sports screen and the Disney+ platform.
