Israeli Forces Conduct Raids and Land Confiscations in the West Bank
On December 10, 2024, the Israeli occupation army intensified its operations in the occupied West Bank, storming multiple Palestinian areas and confiscating significant amounts of land. Reports from official Palestinian media indicate that 94 dunams were seized in the village of Beit Jala, located west of Bethlehem. This land confiscation is reportedly aimed at establishing a central bus station for the occupation near the tunnel area leading to Jerusalem.
The Israeli military also conducted raids in the city of Nablus and surrounding villages, including Burqa, Burin, Umm Safa, Husan, and Tabqa. Clashes erupted in the village of Madama, south of Nablus, where Israeli forces imposed a curfew and engaged in heavy shooting, deploying gas and sound bombs against local residents.
This escalation in military activity comes amid ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, where the situation has already led to significant casualties. According to official Palestinian data, the recent conflicts have resulted in 809 deaths and approximately 6,450 injuries in the West Bank and East Jerusalem alone.
