Israeli army forces stormed a number of towns in the occupied West Bank after midnight and dawn on Sunday, including Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, where they were met with a heavy barrage of bullets from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.
During their raid into Balata Camp, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian citizen after raiding his home in the camp. They also raided a number of other homes and conducted a thorough search.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced that they responded with heavy bullets to the invading forces. Local sources also reported hearing gunfire and explosions in the area.
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) said that the villagers responded to the settlers’ attack. What led to the outbreak of confrontations between the two parties, it was not immediately clear whether they resulted in casualties or not.
