Palestinian organizations said that the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 40 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank during the past two days, while the occupation forces and settlers stormed cities and villages in the West Bank.
The Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported - in a joint statement today, Saturday - that the number of Palestinian detainees in the West Bank, after the aforementioned arrests, has risen to more than 10,000 since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7th.
He said that among those detained in the West Bank during Thursday and Friday were a woman, children, and former prisoners.
This comes at a time when Palestinian sources said that settlers stormed the outskirts of the village of Al-Mughayir, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, on Saturday morning.
The occupation forces also stormed, at dawn today, the cities of Qalqilya and Tulkarm, located in the northern West Bank, while a foreign activist was wounded by occupation bullets in Nablus.
Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that a Palestinian was injured during the Israeli occupation forces storming the city of Qalqilya from its eastern entrance, and local sources reported that the occupation forces fired live bullets during the storming, which resulted in one person being injured.
The occupation forces raided several neighborhoods in the city, and sporadic confrontations broke out with Palestinian youths before they withdrew from the city.
For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades in Tulkarm announced that it targeted a foot force and Israeli occupation vehicles storming the city.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also announced the targeting of the "Evnei Hefetz" settlement, established south of the city of Tulkarm, with machine guns in response to the occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967, is witnessing an escalation in incursions, but the situation has escalated since Israel launched its devastating and ongoing 10-month war on the Gaza Strip.
More than 600 Palestinians have been martyred at the hands of Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since October 7, according to the Palestinian authorities.
At least 17 Israelis, including soldiers, were also killed in Palestinian attacks in the West Bank during the same period, according to official Israeli figures.
