Iran's Leaders Rally Support for Resistance in Lebanon and Gaza
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian have voiced strong support for the resistance movements in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, urging a unified response against Israel's ongoing aggression. Khamenei condemned the United States for its backing of Israel, asserting that Iran will not yield to external pressures from either Washington or Tel Aviv. He expressed confidence in the eventual victory of the Palestinian resistance and Hezbollah, despite the disparity in military capabilities.
Khamenei emphasized that the resilience of the Iranian people has deterred direct attacks on their territory, stating, "The enemy does not dare to attack our lands because of the steadfastness of our people." He also pointed out that the resistance forces, although lacking the enemy's advanced equipment, will ultimately triumph.
Call for Unified Action Against Israeli Aggression
President Pezeshkian called upon Islamic nations to present a coordinated front against Israel to prevent further devastation in Lebanon akin to the ongoing situation in Gaza. He highlighted the need for a unified voice to counter Israeli actions, which he described as genocidal. Pezeshkian criticized the complicity of Western nations in supporting these aggressions, asserting that Israel has failed to achieve its objectives in Gaza and is now attempting to extend the conflict throughout the region.
A Plea for Solidarity from Hezbollah
In a letter addressed to Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Iran's Islamic Republic founder, criticized the inaction of various governments regarding Israel's actions. He expressed his readiness to support the resistance in any capacity necessary. Khomeini's message underscored the importance of standing firm against the violence perpetrated by Israel, which he claims is enabled by the silence of Arab and Eastern governments. He called for a collective effort to defend the rights of Palestinians and Lebanese against ongoing aggression.
