Hezbollah Reports Significant Israeli Military Losses Amid Ongoing Conflict
Hezbollah has announced that since the onset of the Israeli incursion into southern Lebanon on September 30, over 95 Israeli soldiers and officers have been killed, with nearly 900 others wounded. The Lebanese militant group detailed that its forces have destroyed 50 Israeli military vehicles, including 42 Merkava tanks, and have successfully shot down five Israeli drones. These figures were released in a statement from Hezbollah's operations room, which documented the toll of losses since the beginning of the Israeli ground military operation.
The statement highlighted the ongoing supply lines to Hezbollah fighters, ensuring they are equipped with ammunition and reinforcements. In total, Hezbollah has launched approximately 655 missile attacks, with 63 occurring in just the last three days, targeting areas as far as 105 kilometers north of Tel Aviv. Additionally, the group has conducted 76 drone operations, some reaching 145 kilometers south of Tel Aviv.
Hezbollah's report also indicated that Israeli forces are avoiding areas monitored by Hezbollah and are using hidden routes to infiltrate Lebanese border villages, often destroying civilian infrastructure before retreating. The group outlined several axes of Israeli incursion, detailing operations by various Israeli divisions across different regions in southern Lebanon.
Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza and Lebanon
The conflict has escalated beyond Lebanon, with reports indicating that Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 2,865 individuals, predominantly women and children, and have left over 13,000 injured. The ongoing violence has led to the displacement of approximately 1.4 million people in the region. While Hezbollah continues its rocket and drone attacks on Israeli military sites, Israel has imposed a military blackout on reporting its human and material losses, complicating the assessment of the conflict's toll on both sides.
