Winger Théo Attissogbe has been ruled out of the upcoming match against New Zealand due to a knee sprain sustained during France's victory over Japan (52-12) on Saturday. Coach Fabien Galthié confirmed that Attissogbe suffered a lateral ligament sprain, which occurred in the final minutes of the match. The 19-year-old had stepped in for Damian Penaud, who was ill, and celebrated his third start before the injury forced him off the pitch.
In contrast, second row Thibaud Flament, who also exited the game early with an iliac crest injury, remains in contention for the match against the All Blacks. Galthié noted that Flament's injury is less severe, making his participation more likely. The French Rugby Federation has announced that Nolann Le Garrec returns to the squad after recovering from a knee injury, replacing Baptiste Serin. Other returning players include prop Régis Montagne and second row Cameron Woki, enhancing France's depth ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
The French team is set to face New Zealand on November 16 at Stade de France, followed by a match against Argentina on November 22. The 42-man squad includes key players across various positions, ensuring a strong lineup as they prepare for these challenging encounters.
