Elias Khoury, a prominent Lebanese novelist and political activist, passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 76, after a prolonged illness. Born in Beirut in 1948, Khoury was deeply engaged with the Palestinian cause, which influenced his literary work and activism throughout his life.
