Beit Lahia Battalion Achieves High Readiness Amid Ongoing Conflict

Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi has reported that the Beit Lahia Battalion, part of Hamas's Al-Qassam Brigades, has achieved a 90% readiness level following its rehabilitation after the first phase of the Israeli war. This battalion is strategically located near the Gaza envelope, making it a critical point of defense against potential incursions by Israeli forces. Al-Duwairi noted that the rehabilitation process involved both material and human resources, with combat readiness varying between 65% and 90% across different battalions. The Al-Qassam Brigades have adapted their combat strategies to rely more on guerrilla warfare tactics, utilizing remnants of tunnel networks and rubble for cover. Recent reports indicate that Al-Qassam has engaged in several successful attacks against Israeli forces, including targeting infantry units and armored vehicles with significant casualties on the Israeli side.
