ANSES Increases Pensions and Bonuses in July 2024

The Argentine National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has announced a 4.18% increase in pensions and retirements starting July 2024. This adjustment will raise the minimum retirement to $215,580.82, with a potential bonus pushing the total to $285,580.82. The maximum assets for the seventh month of 2024 will remain at $1,450,654.81. This increase is formalized by ANSES resolution 320/2024, published in the Official Gazette.

Detailed Breakdown of Pension Adjustments

With the July increase, the minimum retirement and pension will rise from $206,931.10 to $215,622.21, and with the bonus, the total income will go from $276,931.10 to $285,622.21. The Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) will increase from $235,544.90 to $242,497.77 with the bonus. Non-contributory pensions with the bonus will rise from $214,851.75 to $220,935.55. The maximum pension value will increase from $1,392,450.40 to $1,450,933.32, reflecting a 4.18% increase.

Payment Schedule and Additional Information

The payment schedule for July 2024 is detailed for various groups, including retirees, pensioners, non-contributory pensions, AUH, prenatal and maternity allowances, pregnancy allowances, family non-contributory pension allowances, single payment assignments, and unemployment benefits. Payments will be distributed throughout the month based on the last digit of the beneficiaries' DNI numbers. Additionally, pensioners in Germany will see a 4.57% increase in their pensions starting July 1, 2024. This increase will be accompanied by a special supplement for those who received disability pensions between January 2001 and December 2018. The supplement will be paid in two stages until December 2025.

  • Retirees and minimum pensioners will receive their payments on specific dates in July, determined by the last digit of their DNI numbers. For example, those with DNIs ending in 0 will receive their payment on July 8, while those with DNIs ending in 9 will receive theirs on July 22.
  • Non-contributory pensions will also follow a similar schedule, with payments distributed from July 8 to July 12. The AUH payments will be made from July 8 to July 22, while prenatal and maternity allowances will be paid from July 12 to July 18.
  • In Germany, the pension increase will also lead to higher social security contributions and taxes for pensioners. Health insurance contributions will be 8.15%, with an additional 8.15% paid by the pension fund. Long-term care insurance contributions will be 3.4% for pensioners with children younger than 23 years and 4.0% for childless pensioners or those with children older than 23 years.
  • Pensioners in Germany who received a disability pension before 2015 will receive a special monthly supplement of 4.5% or 7.5% more, depending on the period they started receiving their pension. This supplement will be paid monthly until December 2025, after which it will be combined with the regular pension payments.
